Saintfield Heritage Society’s October talk will take place in the Studio of Saintfield Community Centre, 29 Belfast Road, on Thursday 10th October.
SIR HANS SLOANE – The remarkable achievements of one of the most influential figures in the history of medicine and the natural sciences – and the inventor of milk chocolate – was born in Killyleagh in 1660. His life and legacy will be examined by the distinguished neurologist Dr. STANLEY HAWKINS. Everyone welcome!
An open general meeting of the
Saintfield Development Association
will be held at 7.30 pm on Monday 9th September
at the new Saintfield Community Centre on Belfast Road
This is an opportunity to hear what your association is doing for the village and its plans for the future, and a chance for you to express your views and any concerns.

MOURNE RAMBLINGS – We welcome back Mr. ERNIE WILSON who will entertain us with some further observations on aspects of the Mournes based on his extensive knowledge and experience of this beautiful area of our province. Everyone welcome!
Eamon Phoenix, the well known historian and broadcaster, will give a talk on “The Gaelic Revival to Partition in County Down” in Darragh Cross GAA Community Hall on Wednesday 18th September at 7pm. Everyone welcome!
