Saintfield Parish Church is running a Table Quiz fundraiser for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund For Children.
The Quiz will be held in the White Horse Inn, Saintfield, on Thursday 28th February, starting at 8:00pm. It only costs £5 per person, with a maximun of six members in a team. Supper is included! Come along and have some fun with your friends while raising money for this worthwhile charity. |

The Saintfield Branch of Save the Children will be serving Soup Lunches every Wednesday from 13th February to 20th March inclusive.

Now that Francis Hutcheson’s place of burial has been identified and marked with a plaque, the search for his place of birth is more important than ever.
There is a copy of an indenture in the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland, dated 25 May 1671, that records the sale of “the Town and Land of Drumaligg” from Henry, Earl of Clanbrassil to Alexander Hutcheson, Francis’ grandfather. But there is no map to show where Alexander’s house was.
