Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride 2014
Why was Sarah Travers hiding in a draughty doorway on a Saturday morning? To see Santa of course. Or more accurately, hundreds of Santas!
The annual Saintfield Christmas Charity Ride is organised by Joan Cunningham to raise funds for underprivileged children in Uganda and Rwanda.
Sarah Travers joins Santa in his carriage for the ride up Saintfield’s Main Street.
The Chairman of Down District Council, Cllr William Walker, enjoys a carriage ride too.
Even horses have to obey traffic lights!
The smallest rider in the Charity Ride?
And a fairy tale princess!
The camera crew video the Charity Ride from a great, if somewhat dangerous, vantage point.
Cllr Walker makes his own video record of the event!
It wasn’t only the horses and their riders who got dressed up for the special occasion!
