Work Begins – 10/01/14

The front view of the site before work commences on Rowallane Community Hub.

The contractors set up their office on the first floor of 35 Main Street.

Linda will be making a film about the development of Rowallane Community Hub.

There is plenty of space in the property …

… and many nice features in the listed building.

This is the rear view of the building, with the entry from Main Street on the left hand side.

This building will become the Community Meeting Room and Classroom.
The rough ground will be cleared and levelled to become allotments.

While the walls are in good condition …

… there is much work to be done to make the building habitable.

This arch will lead from the cobbled courtyard to the allotments and beyond.

This building will become the Eco Education facility.
The ground when cleared will be used for allotments.

This entry at the rear of the property used to provide access to a field.  Cattle came
in through the archway and out onto Main Street on their way to market.
