Christmas Fair Prize Winners

At the Saintfield Christmas Fair prizes were awarded by Saintfield Development Association (formerly Saintfield Town Regeneration Committee) for the “Best Dressed Shop Window” and the “Best Market Stall”.

The judges decided that this year’s “Best Dressed Shop Window” was Scentsations at 2 Main Street, owned by Carol Morrow. The colourful window impressed the judges as it conjured up images of Dickens’ “The Old Curiosity Shop”.  The shop window display can be seen below. The prize was presented to Carol by Saintfield Development Association committee member Lily Hamilton.

The “Best Market Stall” prize was awarded to Christie McVeigh. Christie was making her first appearance at a Craft Market selling her husband’s original woodwork. Christie can be seen at her stall in the photo below. The prize was presented by Ian Mack, the Secretary of Saintfield Development Association.
