Saintfield Development Association’s Infrastructure Committee applied for a grant from the Northern Ireland Environment Link to fund the development of a Landscape Masterplan for Saintfield. After much work the plan has been completed, and the full report can be downloaded HERE.

The annual display at 128th 2nd Presbyterian and Parish Girls Brigade in Saintfield took place on Friday 27th March. Photographs of all the girls, captain and officers can be seen HERE.
The Education Minister John O’Dowd recently cut the first sod on the £1.52 million sports hall project at Saintfield High School. The project was approved in March 2014 and is being carried out under the School Enhancement Programme (SEP). Speaking at the site the Minister said: “This is a good day for all the pupils and staff at Saintfield High School. The new sports hall will make a huge difference to the school community.”
Saintfield High School was built in 1958 and currently has an enrolment of 369 pupils.
This morning saw the official opening of The Square with representatives from the groups who progressed the project in attendance. MLA Jim Shannon, DDC Chair William Walker and Saintfield Development Association’s Chair Barbara Graham with the commemoration plaque which will be displayed in The Square.
The plaque shows the various funding sources for the upgrade of The Square.

Members of the “Green Saintfield Committee” of Saintfield Development Association recently attended the Down Your Street awards ceremony at Downshire Civic Centre.
SDA was the winner of the Environmental Improvement category, and was presented with their award by the Chair of DDC, Cllr Billy Walker.
