The Gran Fondo Giro D’Italia Northern Ireland will be coming to Saintfield on Sunday 5th June! There will be some disruption to early morning traffic in the area from 07:15 – 08:45 [Details HERE].

This morning 175 cyclists took part in the Saintfield Cycle ride.

On Tuesday 10th May members of Comber Historical Society were taken on a tour of heritage sites in Saintfield by Saintfield Heritage Society. This time last year Comber Historical Society had welcomed Saintfield Heritage Society members for a tour of Comber’s historic locations.
Saintfield Development Association‘s Litter Pick on Saturday 14th May is supported by Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
Cleaning up our village not only creates a more pleasant place for us to live, but it also creates a good impression for anyone visiting Saintfield!
Date: Saturday 14th May
Time: 10:00am – noon
Meet at 2nd Saintfield Presbyterian Church Hall.
Litter picking tools, gloves, bags and Hi-Vis jackets will be provided.
Children must have parents’ permission. Refreshments provided afterwards.
The 34-mile route round beautiful County Down countryside starts and ends in Saintfield.
Free refreshments will be provided at Whiterock car park.
Registration is from 8:30 am in Downpatrick Street car park, with the ride commencing at 9:30 am.

Another significant step forward for the Saintfield community centre. The Council has confirmed that even if no private sector partner is found, they will use the £1.5m ring-fenced for this project to start work in April 2017. The Expression of Interest advertisement below appeared in the Belfast Telegraph on Friday 29th April 2016.
