HeartStart Lisburn & Mid Down was formed by a group of local people who have all been trained by the British Heart Foundation resuscitation officer. They are looking for community groups / family and friends / church groups who want training. Groups can be from 6 to 36 people. More details here.

Year 9 students from Saintfield High School have been taking part in the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative. Pupils selected a local charity that best addressed their chosen issue. The Annual General Meeting of Saintfield Development Association marked the end of an era.  Gerry Lowe stood down as Chair of the organisation after many years devoted service.  Members of SDA organised a surprise party for Gerry, and photos of the evening can be viewed here.
