Hello my name is Tom Grant and I believe my ancestors came from Saintfield Parish, however I have no documentation. I will be visiting Ireland this May and would love to seek out information on them. My grandfather, Tom Grant left Ireland in the early part of the 1900’s with his two brothers Sam and Robert. We believe they left behind other siblings and relatives. Anything you have would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Tom, my mum was called Dorothea Grant , lived in the square in Saintfield, my mums’ two sisters still live in Saintfield. I’m sure they will be able to help you with information about your ancestors.

      My Grandmother was Agnes Yates. I believe she was post mistress @ 1 Main Street. She married William Speedy from Randalstown . Her 1st son Henry Speedy (my father) was born in 1910 & appeared on the census at that time. A cousin called Tom Grant would have visited us occasionally InNewcastle where I grew up . He was unmarried as far as I know. I would love to know more about those family connections
