Night at the Movies

Saintfield Town Regeneration Committee organised a fundraising evening at the Tudor Cinema in Comber on 26th October.

Over fifty people enjoyed a private screening of “The Quiet Man” and raised nearly £500 towards purchasing new Christmas lights for the Main Street.  Thanks to Sam and June Kerr for making all the arrangements.

Thanks also to Sam Kerr who organised and distributed a fireside quiz.  This also raised nearly £500 for the same objective.

The Annals of Saintfield

Between 1787 and 1831 William Spratt kept a journal of events in Saintfield that seemed important to him.

He called the journal “The Annals of Saintfield”.  In 1923 fifty copies of The Annals were privately printed.

A copy has just been added to this website
